My weekend in Sharm El Sheikh was great fun !

A pretty dress by the pool

I awoke at 16.00, took a shower, dressed in my white minidress and black chunky platform sandals but felt far too fat in it. This weight thing is becoming a problem and I'm going on a diet as soon as this trip is over. My androcure is making me so hungry at the moment. Instead I dressed in my wife's grey and white lion-print minidress which was a bit more flattering and did some photos by the pool.

Did she fall off her high heels ???

While I did this particular shot I had the entire kitchen staff of the restaurant watching and making encouraging comments right behind the camera !

Some photos by the pool

Afterwards I put on a white halter-neck t-shirt, jeans and rope wedges and went for a walk on the beach and did some photos. The sun has gone down and the hotel swimming pool is beautifully lit. What a pity I don't have a girlfriend to enjoy this with.

Sinai sunset

Here I am on the beach under a beautiful sky. In the background are the mountains and desert.

Catastrophe on the catamaran

I fell off this catamaran right after this photo was taken and wrenched a leg muscle ! Luckily there was no-one around to see me. Oh well, worse things happen at sea...

Ooh... I wish I could go windsurfing but I'm afraid of being eaten by a shark !

I continued along the coastal path which winds it way through the different hotel gardens and restaurants. This path really lends a romantic atmosphere to Sharm. Inevitably I got numerous passes made at me, but managed to buy a yellow beach skirt and book a Bedouin dinner in the desert for tomorrow night. As Corinne I love trying different things.

A cuddle with an admirer

A Palestinian tourist stopped me and asked if he could have a photo with me. I always say yes providing I can have one too with my camera...

A clammy cup of tea

As I walked past an Egyptian tea garden the owner begged me to come and sit with him and have a cup of tea. I shall always remember his extraordinarily cold and clammy hands - like those of a corpse ! He made me collapse with laughter as he greeted me with "Lovely jubbly !" This is a line from Dennis Trotter in "Only Fools and Horses", an English comedy and I heard it on the lips of Egyptians several times. I can't think where they got it from unless the comedy is broadcast in Egypt ! The guy asked me to go to a beach party later that evening but I declined as it sounded a bit dodgy to me.
